Jeff L. Williams
Chief Executive Officer

Jeff founded the company in 2003 with the idea of setting a new direction in managing post-approval research. His vision of applying a software-as- a-service model to the delivery of clinical research management software led to the creation of the industry’s most flexible clinical workflow platform at a very attractive price, making the company’s clinical research software platform available to more biopharmaceutical and medical device firms, and academic-based clinical researchers.

Over the past four years, Jeff has led Clinipace to significant growth and multiple funding rounds, and continues to guide the company’s growth strategy. As a result, Jeff was named to the PharmaVoice 100, an annual listing of the 100 most influential people in the life sciences industry in 2007.

Prior to founding Clinipace, Jeff held several executive-level positions within the life sciences and software industries. As CEO of NextAudio, an early pioneer in Internet-based services, he successfully merged the company with Koz to create Mediaspan where, through an aggressive M&A strategy the company expanded to over 200 employees and more than $26 million in sales in the first 2 years. Additionally, Jeff was a co-founder of HealthMatics, one of the first electronic medical records (EMR) software providers, which was sold to A4 Health and later acquired by Allscripts.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with minors in Business Management and Biology from the University of Tampa.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for CampbellAlliance, the premiere management consulting firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and Cathedral Corporation, a leader in print and electronic data output services.
