Ron is a skilled and knowledgeable biostatistician and biomedical researcher, serving on the University of Florida faculty for 30 years in the Division of Biostatistics. In 2004 Ron retired from the University of Florida and now devotes his time to building Clinipace and assisting in product design, trial execution, and customer support. He has an extensive background in the design, analysis and reporting of large-scale clinical trials and other research studies and has been a lead clinical trials consultant with a number of large pharmaceutical companies including Unilever, Braun, and SmithKline Beecham.
Ron is routinely consulted for his insight regarding the state of the art in electronic clinical trials. Recently, he has become a leader in the Electronic Data Management Forum (EDMF), a leading group of technologists from 24 biopharmaceutical companies and 18 associated businesses.
Prior to Clinipace, Ron served as the Chairman of SmithKline's Data Safety and Monitoring Committee for its worldwide herpes clinical trials program. He has been very active his entire career on many large clinical trials and other clinical research studies; and his research has led to 130 scientific publications, a number of industry presentations and keynote addresses.
Ron has served in an administrative position as Director of the Division of Biostatistics at the University of Florida for 19 of his 30 years on the faculty.
