September 28, 2007 / Research Triangle Park, NC — Clinipace, a clinical research software company based in the Research Triangle Park, today announced that it has been honored with a “Best Places to Work” award presented by the Triangle Business Journal. Clinipace earned 2nd place honors in the small company category, which included all winning companies with 50 employees or less. This was Clinipace’s first year participating in the annual competition.
The annual awards were presented to 45 Triangle-area companies that the Triangle Business Journal concluded were the most successful in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of benefits, working conditions, and company culture. Winners were chosen through a comprehensive employee survey process.
Clinipace scored high marks in all of its evaluation criteria, scoring a 100% in 34 out of 37 employee questions. According to the employee opinion survey and anecdotal report, some of Clinipace’s specific areas of strength are its senior management, employee appreciation, and teamwork.
As one Clinipace team member states in the survey, “One of the most important things our leadership team does to encourage a productive work place is to jump in and assist whenever help is needed, no matter the task or time of day. This is a rarity of most companies. If we are up against a tight project timeline, everyone works together to ensure that all goals are met and our clients are happy.”
Another telling anecdotal quote from a Clinipace teamster says, “Our senior management really cares about us as individuals, our success, and the company’s success. Receiving praise and thanks for our hard work is a constant around here, and very much appreciated. Feeling valued as an employee and as a part of the team is so important … and our managers consistently make us feel valued.”
Likewise, Jeff Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Clinipace, feels fortunate to have such a remarkable team. “It is a privilege to work with such an enthusiastic team every day. Everyone feels a sense of personal ownership here and pitches in without question to deliver their best to each other and our customers. I think it’s a testament to our company’s culture that we have never lost an employee in our four-year history.”
The winning companies were honored yesterday at an exciting Pep Rally and Awards Luncheon at the Embassy Suites in Cary and are profiled in today’s issue of the Triangle Business Journal.
