Clinipace recently hosted a group of Harding University students and their professor as part of the University’s summer program.
Harding University, which is located in Searcy, Arkansas, has 7,155 students representing all 50 states and 53 foreign countries. Its summer program brings students to the UK where they visit various businesses across multiple sectors, including: Bank of England, Tate and Lyle, Oxford University, and BMW/Mini.
On July 5, Accounting Professor, James G. Shelton, PhD, with the University’s Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration and 18 of his students visited Clinipace’s High Wycombe office for a presentation followed by lunch.
Our presentation, which was titled “Introduction to Healthcare R&D and Contract Research Organizations” gave an industry overview, outlined phases of clinical development and examined the ecosystem that supports pharma/biotech product development. The students were very interested in technology-enabled business solutions like Clinipace’s digital CRO business model and our TEMPO eClinical platform.
It was a great day for everyone involved! I would like to extend a special thank you to Cecil Wood (Clinipace’s Director of Business Development) and Vicky Chialton (Clinipace’s Site Management Services Team Leader) for sharing their time with the students during the visit.
