July 24, 2007 / Research Triangle Park, NC. — Jeff Williams, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of RTP-based Clinipace, was named to the “PharmaVOICE 100,” an annual list of individuals who are having a remarkable influence on the life sciences industry.
Jeff Williams’ nomination and ultimate selection was based on his 21-year career in the pharmaceutical industry where he “consistently pushed the envelope of innovation at every juncture of his career, Mr. Williams has consistently chosen the path of greatest potential for value creation, rather than the path of greatest potential for safety and security,” according to the editors at PharmaVOICE magazine.
Consistent with his venturesome disposition, and with a determination to improve clinical research and disease registries, Jeff Williams started RTP-based, Clinipace, in 2003, which PharmaVOICE says, “has rapidly become a leader in the field of electronic data capture and clinical trial management via Web-based technology.”
The distinguished list of 100 is selected by PharmaVOICE’s readers who were asked to nominate the individuals who have inspired and motivated them. Thousands of readers wrote in to submit their nominations. Ultimately, the PharmaVOICE 100 was selected based on these write-ups as well as the number of nominations received and other factors, such as community and philanthropic activities.
“I am extremely honored to be recognized by my peers and PharmaVOICE as someone who is inspiring others and contributing to the overall improvement and advancement of our industry,” commented Jeff Williams, CEO of Clinipace and PharmaVOICE 100 honoree. “However, I am most excited about the fact that this honor recognizes the success we have had at Clinipace, and is a direct reflection on the outstanding group of people we have here that are truly dedicated to our purpose and our clients.”
PharmaVOICE divided the honorees into different categories that best capture their individual skill sets and expertise. Clinipace’s Jeff Williams was appropriately positioned in “The Risk Takers” category. As defined by PharmaVOICE, these entrepreneurs are redefining the life-sciences industry through innovative approaches to improving technologies, processes, services, and ultimately patient care.
